Fabcon requires an experienced Instrumentation Completions Engineer or equivalent experienced professional certified technician to lead a team of Instrumentation and Controls technicians to perform completion, commissioning and startup supervision and management of a major oil sands bitumen production plant project. During module
fabrication and finally during hookup and sub assembly of modules at site, this position will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing performance of fabrication contractors during System Completion phase. The position will involve leading site activities with Safety as a top priority, development of commissioning procedures, leading site execution activities, assessing planning, progress and carry over work to be taken
during final commissioning phase. Provides key management interface with operations group during procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and startup of new facility.
Qualifications:
At least 15 years experience in lead or senior instrumentation and controls commissioning positions in the global oil and gas industry combined with emphasis on leadership with multi-discipline teams, commissioning startups and completions, and construction project management.
