Sales Planning - Create a sales, profitability and growth plan for assigned accounts that identifies how to drive growth in large, multi-location accounts including existing accounts, potential accounts and regional and corporate accounts.
Plan inputs should include opportunity list (warboard) - filtered for corporate accounts, area plan, clear understanding of JD offering, target account list (playcard), understanding of each account - including KPI's, current situation, key stakeholders, and needs analysis; plan output should include a plan by end user, including products, programs, pricing, potential solutions, and resources (local and corporate) needed to drive area growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.
New Business Development - Collaborate with local JD resources, support teams and distribution to deliver the JD value proposition to targeted large, multi-location accounts to secure new profitable business; actively engage in the support and growth of corporate account business
Grow and maintain existing business - Collaborate with current JD customers (local, regional and corporate accounts), regional JD sales and support teams, and distribution to profitably deliver value and new solutions, to measure and communicate results of solutions, and to ensure a high level of satisfaction, growth and customer retention; engage customer in communication to ensure that all new needs are understood and that the customer is aware of the value delivered
Demonstrate application expertise - Demonstrate and apply skills that enable the effective demonstration of JD products, programs and solutions. Demonstrate expertise in assigned specialty applications or sectors (such as BSC's, retail, infection control, food safety, etc.). Understand and be able to articulate the value of products, programs and solutions to targeted end users and distributors.
Demonstrate industry and sector expertise - Demonstrate a deep understanding of the cleaning and sanitation industry by exhibiting strong knowledge and understanding of assigned sectors. Clearly understand and quantify industry and sector trends, demonstrate understanding of sector stakeholders and their needs, collaborate with end users and complementary suppliers to identify best offerings and solutions, understand competitive offerings and how to position against them. Work with key industry groups and affiliations to demonstrate JD's leadership and create new opportunities.
Collaborate with distributors to deliver JD solutions to targeted end users - Collaborating with JD distributors (possibly multiple) to ensure the effective and consistent delivery of solutions to multi-location accounts - including value added services such as training, service and support
Administrative Duties - Complete key administrative tasks such as pricing, rebate and promotion coordination, management of marketing funds, customer relationship and activity reporting, budgeting, forecasting, travel and expenses.
